Aisha Hinds, an American actor best recognized for her roles on the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has proven her ability as an actress through impressive performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. It was initially noticed because of her character Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. Her role in the biographical film All the Way as the women's right activist Fannie Lou Hammer brought her to the attention of the world at large. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed 9-1-1 for a brand new season. Hind recently wrapped up shooting on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters to premiere in the second half of the year. After her release Provoked: A True Story in English, she came back to Bollywood and played the lead role in the blockbuster Dhoom: 2 (2007).
